Apple has just announced the new iPhone 11 (also called iPhone XI). Along with the new generation, we also had the announcement of the new iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Below you can read all about Apple’s new releases in 2019.
iPhone 11: Availability and Price
Following its annual tradition, Apple announced three new smartphones today, September 10th. The handsets hit the market on September 20, but are now available for pre-sale starting this Friday, 13.
The starting price of the iPhone 11 is $ 699. Already the iPhone 11 Pro hits the market for $ 999 and iPhone 11 Pro Max $ 1099. We do not have information on sales of these three models in Brazil.
iPhone 11: Design and Screen
Confirming the rumors, the iPhone 11 comes with a distinctive design from previous versions. Apple put a dual lens module on the main camera, but kept the screen size of last year’s variant. Thus, the iPhone 11 is 6.1 inches and comes with the front notch, due to Face ID sensors.
In 2019, the iPhone lineup has new color options such as violet, white, green, yellow, black and red.
The switch to the dual rear camera changes our impression of the iPhone 11, which resembles many of Huawei’s and recently Motorola’s handsets. Now the device has an ultra-angular lens.
Finally, the iPhone 11 is built in a single piece of extremely durable glass, and has IP68 water resistance certification of up to 2 meters.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max
Already the iPhone Pro was announced with triple camera, which occupies much of the back of the device, but the look may not fall in favor of all users – as happened with the notch in the front of the screen in the past.
With the Pro line, Apple wants to offer the best experience on a smartphone, which is the device with advanced settings. Regarding the design, the devices feature a one-piece full glass rear. New is the new green color, which accompanies the already traditional space gray, silver and gold.
The 11 Pro’s display uses OLED, is 5.8 inches and the company says it is 15% more energy efficient. The screen is called by Apple the Super Retina XDR Display. The Pro Max variant is 6.5 inches.
iPhone 11: Bigger Battery
Apple never delivers the battery size of its handsets during the launch, but Apple representatives said the iPhone 11’s battery could last up to 1 hour longer than the one we have today on the iPhone XR, which was released today. last year!
Already the iPhone 11 Pro guarantees a charging time for up to 5 hours longer compared to the iPhone XS Max. And to charge the battery even faster, the product comes with an 18W quick charger.
iPhone 11: Cameras
At the rear, the iPhone 11’s dual camera comes with 12 megapixel (wide) and 12 MP (ultra-wide) sensors, with 2x optical zoom. You can also use both lenses separately in the native camera application.
Among the new camera features, the highlight goes to portrait mode. However, the highlight is even the feature that has been enhanced: the night mode.
The camera also shoots 4K at 60 frames per second, with slow motion and timelapse modes.
The front camera has 12 megapixels, with a larger sensor if the image is in landscape mode. The selfie lens also shoots 4K at 60 fps and features slow motion mode.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
Already the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, have three lenses in the main camera: a 12 MP wide, another 12 MP telephoto, and the third 12 MP ultra-wide, all with various optical zoom options according to Your necessity.
In the camera’s native application you can see what each sensor captures and thus choose how to take the most perfect picture, either by combining the three sensors or using them individually.
A new feature that comes with the 11 Pro’s camera is the so-called Deep Fusion, which uses Machine Learning (ML) to take images with even greater detail in any lighting condition.
So before you even snap the photo, the feature already captures nine sequential images, analyzes them, and combines them pixel by pixel to generate a single, high quality final image.
As for video, the triple camera shoots at 4K at 60 frames per second – each of the sensors has this capability individually as well.
iPhone 11: Performance
The three iPhones 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max have a seven-nanometer chipset, called the A13 Bionic.
According to Apple executives, this processor is the fastest ever used in a smartphone.
A13 Bionic’s CPU is capable of performing up to 1 trillion operations per second. The chip has 4 cores dedicated exclusively to efficiency to further preserve battery life. Another 2 cores are dedicated to overall performance.
iPhone 11: iOS 13
Finally, the operating system of the new iPhones will be iOS 13, which has been in beta testing for the public since mid-June, but will be officially released on September 19. This release features the dark theme throughout the system and minor refinements in native OS applications.
We have an article with all the major functions of iOS 13:

iPhone 11: Compatibility with the Brazilian 4G
If you’re already getting ready to go to the US to get the new iPhones, you might want to think a little more. Repeating a plot that occurred in the generation of last year, Apple’s new smartphones, in all their models (as well as their smart watches) will not work with the Brazilian 4G 700 MHz frequency, which will end up making it a bit more difficult. data network usage here.
The impediment is specifically in the so-called band 28, which is used by operators Claro, TIM and Vivo. Oi is the only company not to operate 4G at this frequency, which also means that it is the operator whose customers will have no problem using the US iPhone here. The same thing also applies to devices from China and Hong Kong.
We have prepared a full article explaining these frequency limitations on Apple smartphones, which you can check out below:
